How to Reserve Your City Car

With the app, you can find, reserve and unlock Your City Car. The app is your key to all 400 City Cars. It always shows you the location of the closest City Cars and tells you how many more kilometres you can drive on the battery. When you have found your closest city car, you can reserve it for up to 24 hours. The 20 minutes are free, for each trip you actually take per day. After the first 20 minutes, the reservation costs 1 DKK per minute.

How to Start and End Your Trip

When you’re standing close to your reserved car, unlock the car with an easy click in the app. You end your trip with another easy click.

If you want to park, but are not finished using the car, you can use the “Stopover” function in the app. Park the car, get out and press “Stopover”. Now the car is locked. Where you’re ready to drive again, just click "Start". 

You still pay-per-minute, while you are using the car. You trip only ends, when you click “End trip” in the app.

 

You Can Park Here for Free

When you need to park Your City Car, you can park it in any public parking spaces, that have a minimum two-hour time limit. In addition, we have many Hotspots, which are parking spaces specifically reserved for GreenMobility’s City Cars. You will find these in parking garages and in locations owned by our partners. You can see all the Hotspots in the app.

To make parking extra easy for you, we have more than 20 Hotspots. They are placed in central locations around the city. You’ll always be able to find free, easy parking in these Hotspots because they are reserved for GreenMobility’s City Cars. Usually, you can also find unreserved City Cars here, when you want to go somewhere.

How to Disconnect Your City Car from a Charger

Disconnect Your City Car from a Charger

  • Press the button with the charging cable icon to the left of the steering wheel, to eject the cable from the car.
  • Remove the cable from the hood of the car
  • Remove the cable from the charging stand
  • Put the cable in the trunk of the car

If you find that the cable is stuck in the charging stand, try taking the orange card from the glove compartment and holding it over the stand to release the cable.

How to Attach Your City Car to a Charging Stand

Plug in

  • Open the hood of the car by pressing the button located to the left of the steering wheel
  • Take the orange card out of the glove compartment and hold it over the E.ON charging stand to open the slot of the charging station
  • Plug the cable into the charging socket on the car and on the E.ON charging stand.
  • Place the orange card back in the glove compartment.

To see all of the available E.ON chargers, you can use the app E.ON drive (DK). You can only use Type 2 E.ON chargers.

Get free minutes and help the next City Car user

If Your City Car has less than 60% electricity, you have the opportunity to earn free minutes by charging it.

By helping the next user and charging the City Car, you can earn up to 20 free minutes. It’s so easy- just plug in Your City Car to charge, when you have finished your trip.

City Car under 60% = 10 min

City Car under 40% = 15 min

City Car under 20% = 20 min

Minutes will automatically be applied to your account, after you have plugged the City Car in to charge and ended your trip. You can find the location of all E.ON chargers in the app “E.ON drive (DK)”. Please use Type 2 chargers only.

The app is your key

With the Your City Car app you get the key to 400 City Cars right in your pocket. Get a quick overview of all available City Cars and book the one closest to you. In the app you can see all available City Cars, their location and their power level. You use the app to book your car, open it and lock it again when you end your trip. An available City Car can be reserved as long as you want and the first 20 minutes per trip every day are free. After that you pay 1 DKK per minute for your reservation. You pay when using the car both insurance, parking and power are included in the price.
